Renderings Re-done/New

This is a new one. A view looking straight ahead from the entrance of the facility.

Although this photo appears rasterized, I'm working on correcting it. It is a re-done version of an interior view which now includes the roof with more intense lighting.

Structural Roofing system #2

New structural roofing system. Purple indicates the roofing and structural parts as it associates with the plans and sections.

This is a front section view of my roofing structure at the midpoint of my pool looking South using a triangular trussing system that goes North-South

Section Model

The section model shown is a section starting at a point within the pool area and looking toward the back of the facility stopping at the wall which "hides" the locker rooms. In the photo you can see the ports to the tunnels leading to the locker rooms, the players benches, and where a viewing area will go residing on a level under the locker rooms. The off-white on the model in the photo indicates the water-level.

Pool detail #2

Yep so here is a more detailed/accurate rendering of my pool detail. It is of the same thing as before. :)

Pool detail rendering

This is a detail rendering of the "tunnel" that will be leading from the pool itself to the back of the facility going into a locker room for the players as well as the players bench where other players sit while not in the game.

Wood-frame construction

This project was an interesting one. Took a bit of thought to get the connect and those dimensions correct aside from making sure everything lined up. Ran into a snag when I accidentally sent the files to the laser cutter asking to use the wrong material. After the re-cut, it worked out much better. Foundation is of the original (incorrect) material. :)

Using FormZ has always been somewhat of a hastle because of the many glitches or things that often go wrong when working with it. This time, luckily, there were none. I just wished to share my utter disliking for the program. Otherwise...here's my wood!

Assignment 2

The detail here is a joint that connects a steel cable to the foundation of a building in low pneumatic systems like athletic complexes.

This is the 2nd page of my part of the research presentations. I felt the pictures spoke for themselves and using as few words to describe the pictures would keep readers from information overload.

Assignment 1

Alrighty computer problems are AWESOME! Too bad computers become outdated as soon as you buy them and programs always seem to have issues. Super exciting stuff. I found that Illustrator is my baby. After extensively working with it, it's so hard to even want to use any other program that does the same thing (including InDesign). But like always, we must progress and learn to use other programs ultimately making our experience the best it can be unless one learns programs half-heartedly with absolutely no intention of truly adopting it into our arsenal of program weapons. That's all for now.

First blog EVER!

So this is the first blog I've ever written either online or otherwise. Diaries when you're 10 don't count. :) Yay for new things!
